Mark Kuhillow

Founder

Starting my career in traditional media in the last century (how old does that make me feel?), I worked in press and broadcast before ‘going online’ in 1999.

I am passionate about digital media and its ability to connect consumers with consumers. A dyed-in-the-wool direct marketer, I love working with our teams and clients to understand campaign data and how insights drive strategy, deploying campaigns, understanding campaign data…

Hi, I’m Jonathan and my focus is on all our revenue generating activities. The more revenues we generate for our clients the more revenue we generate for R.O.EYE. and the more new clients want to join us. My sales background has a consistent theme of data and analytics, enabling clients to exploit their data and insights to maximise their revenues and profits.

Hi, I’m Karen. I make sure everything at R.O.EYE runs smoothly. I originally trained as a Chartered Accountant with PwC then spent several years with Ernst & Young in corporate finance. Latterly I have been involved with a number of growing businesses; moving into the exciting digital marketing world a couple of years ago.

Hi, I’m James and I look after all things tech, tracking & data. This covers developing (and often breaking) new technologies, fixing people's "slow internet" and everything in between! I've been in the digital marketing industry for 10 years now, working on various exciting martech projects for many top global online brands. Prior to making the leap to digital marketing, I worked in the slightly more corporate world of insurance, as well as developing the ecom platform for a startup.

Peter Appleby

Head of Data Science at Auto Trader

Dr Peter Appleby is a data scientist with over 15 years of academic and commercial experience. He has a PhD in applied mathematics and has held academic positions at Universities in Germany and the UK, including spending several years as a DFG Research Fellow in Berlin. His published scientific work spans a number of topics including stochastic processes, neural networks and complex systems. In addition to his research expertise he has first-hand experience of translating mathematical modelling and machine learning algorithms into a wide range of commercial products using big-data technologies such as AWS and Spark. He is based in Greater Manchester and is currently Head of Data Science at Auto Trader.

Jonathan Smith is a technology director with over 10 years experience of leading web development teams. He is a strong advocate of agile development techniques and a proven team builder and leader. Previously IT Director at Moneysupermarket.com, he is currently CTO at OntheBeach.co.uk where he is credited with building the technology team from scratch as well as completely rebuilding the technology platform. Jonathan is based in Greater Manchester and is dashingly good looking.

After co-launching the first specialist affiliate agency in the UK, R.O.EYE, Colin spent eight years working in a full time capacity as Affiliate Director. His deep influence in the operational structure across this period combined with his strong client service ethic lead to the wins of several leading global brands including eBay Partner Network and Google. Colin is now Non-Executive Director and plays an important part in the ongoing success of the platform. He launched successful marketing recruitment agency The Candidate back in 2012 with a great insight into the importance of recruiting the right calibre of staff for any successful business.

Phillip Hunt

Philip Hunt is a chartered accountant who has worked in the media and technology sectors for the last fifteen years, following a successful career in corporate finance. He was CEO of Wheel, which he built into the UK’s number one digital communications agency, and then negotiated its sale to LBi in 2005. He is now a serial non-executive Director and angel investor in a variety of businesses in the digital marketing area, including Preloaded; Line; Skyron; The UX Agency; and MTM London.
